I wanted to follow up from our recent phone call and let you know how grateful my wife and I are for your Company’s commitment to us the customer, and the level of customer service we had recently received. We have used Innovative Pest Management on multiple occasions including treatment for termites, ants and most recently bed bugs. Our previous experiences have all been positive, but it is the bed bug service that sticks in my mind as the basis of my phone call to you and this testimonial.
When we recently discovered the bed bugs in our bedroom, it was a devastating, embarrassing and time consuming discovery, and we needed it resolved quickly. We phoned Innovative and had the appointment scheduled for a few days later. It turns out that preparing for a bed bug extermination is no small time commitment, as we needed all the time we had in order to properly prepare. Everyone that we talked to at Innovative was very professional and courteous, beyond what I am accustomed to receiving on a daily basis from other service providers. However, it is your Technician, Mike Howcott that I would like to single out for praise in this situation.
I explained to Mike the difficulty that this had brought upon my family, and how devastating and time consuming this had been only to just prepare for him to come. Mike was amazing, essentially talking me down off of an emotional cliff – this was a very personal and emotionally draining experience. Mike calmly explained what we had done right, and what we could have done further to prevent the infestation (yes, we had already been diligent in the prevention of bed bugs, we thought), and explaining that you can never do enough to prevent bed bugs. Mike essentially taught me how to look for them and where. He explained to me what he does on the job and when traveling (always bring a flashlight!). He turned this horrible experience into a conversation, a learning experience that in the end made it seem not so devastating, but left me empowered and educated. It was a wonderful relief to have Mike in our home, and he made it feel like we were going to get through this together. We have not suffered a single bite since Mike’s visit.
Upon Mike’s return a couple of weeks later for the follow up visit, I expressed my feelings to Mike and thanked him for being the person that he is. He cares deeply, and is very good at what he does and how he interacts with people. I am thankful that Mike came to our house that day on many levels.
